Christmas And Friends

Some of you do not know me and are new but one thing about me is I am going
to host a nice and intimate event! I wanted to share the idea of hosting a
Christmas dinner + gift exchange with friends.

Just the thought of it is enough for me to get excited. I love gathering to share a meal and

have amazing conversations during those meals. Although hosting for me can be tedious,

I love putting the creativity into motion and seeing the final results. The menu can be as

simple and or complex as you desire. I aim for the simple menu being that its

holiday season and funds are allocated towards the season already.

So when I received the idea the colors that came to mind were: black and gold.

Really regal right? My friends and I don’t currently live near one another but I still

wanted to share this awesome idea for the holiday season! I’ve added possible

décor ideas as well since I did get the colors of what I

would do if my friends and I were in the same state.

  • Ornaments as name place settings with each guests name

  • Gold letter balloons to match the name of the event

  • Clear champagne flutes

  • Gold and black table setting

  • A cute yet simple backdrop for photos

  • And because I am me, small take home gift bags or boxes

Now the gift exchange portion is relatively simple.
The group of friends must decide what’s an acceptable spending amount
(if you go over that’s up to the giver) my friends and I tend to remain under $25.
We also select the exchange date and in this case it would be the same day as the
Christmas and Friends gathering! There is a free app called: Elfster, that can host the
gift exchange. Each participant enters their name and the system will randomly choose
each person's secret santa. Within the app you have the ability to create a wishlist.
It’s connected to sites like Amazon and more so creating a wish list can actually be too fun to do.

Thanks for reading this blog, share with others to keep the holiday festivities going!
